On Sunday September 22, the Unit hosted a Community Wealth Building Social at Labour Conference. Nearly 100 people attended including Councillors, members of the Unit, and others to connect and discuss the Unit’s programme moving forward.  Shadow Secretary Andrew Gwynne spoke about the importance of community wealth building in building a more democratic economy, and Mayor Jamie Driscoll of North of Tyne, Cllr Matthew Brown of Preston, and Cllr Asima Shaikh of Islington presented on the community wealth building work that they are leading in their communities.
